[Event Report] The Meaningful Involvement Promotion Project Hosts “An Open Dialogue Between People With Lived Experience and Policymakers” (January 7, 2026)

On January 7, 2026, the Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Meaningful Involvement Promotion Project held its first event, titled “An Open Dialogue Between People With Lived Experience and Policymakers.”

This event was held to support meaningful involvement among patients and people with lived experience of health concerns in the healthcare policy-making process. By providing a platform for open dialogue and mutual understanding, the event allowed participants to transcend their respective roles and share diverse perspectives.

Participants on the day of the event included registrants of “Japan’s Patient Expert Platform (J-PEP),” a platform provided by HGPI, who engaged in active discussions and networking.
